This award is presented annually to a Cold Creek player, leaving secondary school, and who is entering post secondary education in a recognized college or university program.
Susan Manuel was a member of the Cold Creek Comets family. She was mother to two of our retired players, Nadine & Kelsey Girdlestone, and wife to one of our past coaches, Jeff Girdlestone.
Susan was an active member of the Brighton community. She worked several years at the Brighton Area Community Care office.
Volunteering and supporting others was a very important part of Susan's life.
In December 2004 Susan lost her battle with cancer. She is sadly missed by all who knew her.
How to Apply:
This award goes to a student from any high school. She must apply in writing, and have had played her last year of hockey with Cold Creek Girls Hockey Association.(Not neccesary to have played last year with Cold Creek in graduating year)
